18 month separation anxiety?
DS is getting so bad with the separation anxiety. Whenever he goes to my moms or MIL house he has to carry around a picture of DH & I and constantly asks for us. If Ali is watching him across the street, he stands at the window and cries looking at our house He is 100% addicted to his binkey and lovey so he has them at all times now (he had gotten better for a bit where we left them in the crib, but that ended when the molars started coming in). He also goes to a babysitter once a week where he will cry for us when we leave, but I guess he is ok shortly after (at least thats what she tells us!) and he always seems fine when I go to pick him up.
So is there anything I should be doing for this? Or is it just a phase I need to live through?

Re: 18 month separation anxiety?
DS has been doing the same thing to us. I think its just their age. If I ask DS if he wants to go see grandma, he'll nod yes, but once I get to the door in the morning and we step in, he starts crying and whining. If I put him down, he comes right back to me and shakes his head 'no'.
I know he is fine when he is with her, I think he just realizes that I'm leaving for the day. Usually a mention of breakfast or food gets him calm and ok with being left there.

It's definately a phase. Aiden will be 18 months tomorrow and he is stuck to my husband like glue.
