16 Week Appt
What do they do for this appt? Because of my history, my perinatologist is seeing me for my 16 week appt next week. Do they do something different? Special sono? I was just at my OB last week and he did just weight, blood pressure, urine and listened to the HB. How is next week going to be different?

I had a sono for my 16 week appt. I know alot of drs offices dont offer a sono. I also learned the sex of my baby at this appt (was later confirmed at my level 2). Also had my afp blood test done at this appt, as well as the usual blood pressure, weight and heartbeat.

At my 16 week appt (which was just on Monday, technically at 17 weeks but I had to reschedule from last week bc of my dad's wake) they did my weight, blood pressure, listened to the baby's heartbeat and also took blood to do the quad screening. I think quad screen and AFP are very similar, but quad screen tests for 4 things and AFP tests for 3 things. My doc chose to do the quad.

Had mine yesterday, she said that they didn't give me enough time because she wanted to do a full physical. Anyway..heartbeat of baby  , weight, went over blood work and did 2nd half of finger stick for downs

Crasher here. .but I had a sono at my 16wk appt.. If they don't automatically give one, I'd ask for one......
