15 month old sticking whole hand in mouth then throwing up!
She did this twice yesterday, once outstide and then again at dinner. SHe wasn't upset or anything just sticking her whole hand in her mouth then blah. SHe seemed grossed out after it happened. I tried not making a big deal of it because I didn't want her to get excited....is this normal? I was like WTH!!!

Is she teething?
When they are getting molars they sometimes do this- because it hurts back there so they stick their hand in and it goes too far back and GAG!!!

My DD is 14 & 1/2 months she been doing this for the last couple of days. Sometimes she sticks just her index finger down her throat. It's so weird. Her molars are almost all the way through so I don't think it's teething. It's almost as if she is exploring her mouth and testing out her gag reflex. I try to act all casual when she does it so that my reaction doesn't encourage it. Ihope it's a short lived phase. I have no idea why she is doing this. It couldn't feel good....

I was about to ask the same. DS is 15 months and he does this right now but not all the time. i noticed his bottom right molar is startiing to come in and his upper right molar broke through and is in. Hi left molars came in last month and that's when he started doing this. I just tell him to not gag himelf and take his hand out of his mouth before it can get to far.

YES!! Riley has been doing this lately- and she saw my horror and found it hysterical. So now I just ignore her. Luckily she's never puked/gagged. But it most certainly could be teething. We're going through 2 year molar HELL right now

My DD went through this phase at about the same age. Thank God she doesn't do it anymore!!

My 14 month old DD does this all the time, too. She's made herself throw up a couple of times...now I try to pull her hand out as soon as I see her doing it.
