18 month old hitting and throwing things
my son has started to test me... when he is upset or doesnt get want he wants or told no, he will throw whatever is in his hand or close by, or hit me  ... ive tried talking to him, pretending to cry and time out, and it doesnt phase him - he'll come right back and do it again.. when he hits me he looks at me for a reaction... he even got mad at me and went over to the dog and hit her!
ive noticed its when he is bored or tried, but really, what can i do??? please help with what has worked with you...
i want to work on this and try to stop it.. thanks

It defnately is an attention getter - my ds does the same thing we have been trying time outs. They haven't been that effective though.
Sorry no real advice just letting you know you aren't alone.

You could start time outs. This is common at this age because they can't communicate well and get very frustrated.
