 | Have you heard of this? Men vs. Women - picking up a chair I remember this vaguely, but with my "creative" memory, it could definitely be BS.
There's a "trick" where when a chair is placed against a wall, and when a man puts his head agains the wall to pick up the chair he cannot do it. However, when a female does it...they are able to.

 | Re: Have you heard of this? Men vs. Women - picking up a chair That's what I thought - it's in the hips.
Now, we want to prove this at work, so does anyone know the exact set up.

 Yeah...it's Friday.

put the chair back up against a wall. Stand infront of the front of the chair, bend over so your forehead is against the wall. put your hands around seat and lift. Men can't do it.

 Happy friday!

 | Re: Have you heard of this? Men vs. Women - picking up a chair It's a simple matter of balance, center of balance, and distance from the wall. Men typically have bigger feet, so they are farther from the wall than a women (especially if she has heels, so her "foot length" is even shorter.) When a person is farther from the wall, their center of balance is too far forward, and they cannot stand up. Find a man with small feet, and a woman with large feet, and you'll see that it isn't genetic, just math and physics. |
