12weeks and have virus...
Do you think that I should go to the MD? Dd had this last weekend and dh got it on Wednesday. I thought I was in the clear until last night and I have been vomiting since 10pm with a fever. I don't know if I should run is course (they had it 2days) of course I'm thinking of my peanut and wonder if it's affecting them.
Of course I know someone else has gone through this too. Need advice

If its a virus there isn't really anything they can give you. Try to stay hydrated and I hope you feel better soon! If it would make you feel better give your ob a call.

I might consider calling the dr... they might not be able to give you anything but for peace of mind.
my best friend is 6 weeks postpartum and she and her new little one caught a stomach bug from her 17 month old and they ended up in the hospital due to dehydration from vomiting for so long. take care - I hope it passes soon!!

Crashing but I had a horrendous stomach virus when I was 17 weeks. I couldn't hold anything down for two days. When I called L&D in LIJ, they said to just keep sipping gatorade and that it will pass. If it does not after three days, then you may have to be assessed for dehydration but they said it happens and the babies are usually completely fine. Feel better!

I agree to call your dr. I asked my ob this early on just in case and he said they don't even have the instruments to look in your ear/throat etc.

I had a virus at 32 weeks and went to the hospital twice. Once because I was dehydrated and having contractions, and then the second time because I was at my obyn, complaining of a headache and I had 103 fever. She sent me to the ER.
Both times that I was there, they kept me hydrated, took a bunch of tests and found no infections. So they assumed it was some kind of virus. Bottom line....I would just call your dr to let them know, and make sure you keep hydrated. If you know its a virus, then just stay home, relax, and keep hydrated. Dr can't do anything to treat a virus.
Both times I was at the ER, they said it didn't effect the baby.
However, just from experience...if its Coxsackie virus, then you need to get some bloodwork done. I had to go to a high risk dr to monitor the baby. It is less than 2% that it could effect the baby if you have come in contact with coxsackie b virus.

I had one at around 10 weeks. It didn't last very long and at first I thought it was MS. I didn't realize it was a virus until I felt a little feverish and had a slight temp. I just tried to stay hydrated.
