11-12 month old meal ideas
I need some ideas for meals please!
Breakfast Lunch Dinner Snacks
If you could include things that we can bring to daycare that would be awesome!
I've been trying a lot of new things with Loey and we are trying to get him completely off purees and he's been doing GREAT! But I feel so out of ideas sometimes! He can't just eat what we eat because I've been working nights and not getting home until 8 and then we don't eat dinner until after he goes to bed.
He's in daycare 3 days/week now... but might have to start going 5 if a job I'm applying for works out. At home, I make him grilled cheese (with sharp white cheddar) that he loves, pizza bites, chicken tenders (coated with a breadcrumb & parm mixture)... but none of those heat up well for daycare (they need the toaster or pan)

What about a sandwich? ham and cheese or turkey and cheese? You can get cold cuts that are natural and organic thats what DS usually eats for lunch when we're out.

How do you cut it up? Doesn't it all fall apart?
Bumping for more ideas too... thanks Carissa!

with the sandwich..toast it a bit so the cheese or cold cuts melt and adhere to the bread. it also stopped John from picking the cheese of the bread and just eating the cheese!
you can do pasta if they will heat it up for you?

If they can heat things up for you, these are some meals I make homemade that DD happily ate at that age and still does...
-brown rice with cut up soft cooked veggies mixed in (carrots, peas, etc)
-pastina with butter and veggies on the side or mixed in
-butternut squash soup (very easy!)
-spinach or zucchini quiche
-chicken soup with veggies & rice
-turkey meatballs

things you can bring to daycare?
for breakfast: pancakes, french toast, waffles, with fruit, cut up croissant with nutella and bananas.
lunch: soups!! soup is your friend. lentil, chicken, stew.
macaroni with sauce/meat. ravioletti cut up into perfect pieces.
I give him ravioletti with spinach and parma cheese. he loves it and it's easy to heat up/doesnt' dry out in the micro.
same for dinner.
even if he doesn't eat with you, you can make it so he has your leftovers from the previous night for lunch.
today, luce is eating the rice and chicken I made, plus and egg and black beans.

for breakfast i do one of the following: waffle with mango puree on top scrambled eggs with a little ketchup pancakes with applesauce OR butter/syrup
lunch is usually leftovers from dinner the night before.. lol. but it could be: grilled cheese pasta with broccoli chicken soup mac and cheese ravioli rice and veggies
dinner ranges usually is a complete meal (meat, grain/starch/veggie): hamburgers different pasta w/ different sauces soup sweet potato fries mac n cheese chicken stuffing couscous mashed potatoes veggies
