1 year old teething ???? Pain Relief Nighttime?
My 1 year old is teething, def getting her top teeth. At night shes in really bad pain, biting my shirt, waking up. I give her Motrin to help, but I cant keep doing this. Were going on 2 weeks of teething. I dont give her Motrin every single night because that concerns me, she does get it most nights maybe 4 days of the week.
What do you guys do when teething takes a long time? My dd first bottom teeth took FOREVER to break through.
I leave her teething toy in the crib with her along with her teddy. She does not take a paci at all, never has.
What else can I do? Natural ways to relieve some pain so Im not always giving Motrin.

Rub her gums everyday regardless if she is "teething" or not. I did this every night after her bath up until recently bc DD only has her 4 back molars left. It helps to soften the gums and make it easier for the teeth to break through. DD was never a horrible teether. We've had some rough nights but nothing unbearable.

I had the same concerns about motrin and asked my Dr. He said there are kids who take motrin every day for years due to chronic conditions like RA. I am a pretty natural Mom and I dont like giving meds, but imagine if you were in horrible pain and no one would give you medicine? I say, give it along with other remedies.

we used the natural teething pellets that dissolved. they don't last too long imo, but they def seemed to help for a bit

Agreed... I remember feeling awful about giving her pain meds for 11 days in a row but I think I would have felt more awful if I let her sit in pain when there is relief available.

Thank you so much! I def want to help relieve her pain because shes clearly in a lot of it and I dont want her to suffer, I just didnt want to possibly hurt her or something by constantly giving her pain meds.
I will also try some natural remedies as well. Def gonna try the baby ganics pods!
