1 Hour Glucose Test Today (ok, I drank it . . .)

The instructions say to avoid sugar the day of the test. I am guessing that would include carbs as well, since they convert to sugar? I do not want to eat anything that can give a false reading. I have my appt. at 1 so have to drink at 12.

I took mine yesterday. I was told to avoid sugar and I didn't really understand if that mean carbs either. I called up my office the day before I took it and they said carbs (for my practice at least) were perfectly fine but no fruit juices or anything sugary like cakes or cookies.... I was like you I was so paranoid I was going to eat the wrong things and get a false result. Good Luck!

I have mine next week- I'm so scared i'm going to fail it! Besides the fact that i eat so much crap, i'm going to my appt after working 13 hours the night before (when i tend to eat the most). I need to start planning my menu for that night so that i dont snack on the wrong thing and make it worse.

I think it has to be the sweetest thing I have ever tasted in my life. I guzzled it down- not sure if that was a big mistake because I feel like I got a little rush . . . . I had the orange over ice. Aside from the sweetest sweetness imaginable, it is not all that bad.
