1 Hour Glucose Test
I have my glucose test on Friday. Did anyones dr. tell them to fast, or anything special before this test? TIA

My doctor said eat normally.
BUT, I would recommend watching what you eat. I made the mistake of eating a chocolate, chocolate chip muffin about an hour and a half before the test and I failed it by 3 points!!!

Yeah i had to fast from midnight the night before, and no water either.

I took mine yesterday. I was told to eat normally but avoid a huge glass of OJ or other juice right before the test. For my own peace of mind I scheduled the test for first thing in the morning and only had water before I went.

just don't eat after midnight before the test. Water is ok, and recommended for some reason.

I failed the one hour and three hour. Watch what you eat a few days before.. eat lots of fiber it will knock out carbs which are the sugars you want to avoid. Ive had to test my blood four times a day since, and on diet

I think your Dr. can request the test with fasting or without. Mine checked off 'with fasting' on the form. They took my blood when I arrived, then 1 hour after I finished the drink.
