1 Hour Glucose Appt?
How long does this appt usually last? I am trying to decide whether I should work from home the rest of the day.
I am supposed to drink the orange stuff one hour before my appt.
Also, what should I expect besides taking my blood? The doc at my last appt quickly mentioned something about a sonogram, but I stupidly didn't follow up even though that didn't make sense to me.

My doc sent me home with the orange stuff to refridgerate (better to drink??)
Said I can drink it at home and show up an hour later for blood, that's it.
Since I already had a doctor appt scheduled for this Friday I'm just doing it before I show up for that. All they said was "ok, then show up 5mins early"
Sounds simple.
Sorry that's all I know (so far)

That's pretty much what my doc said, so it sounds like it should be a pretty short appt. I go in tomorrow, so I'll give you an update on how it goes.

took an hour and 15 minutes tops. got there, drank the drink immediately and at the hour mark, they took my blood. that was it.
they take you immediately even if people are waiting (at least at quest) so you can drink the drink right away. you can't have water or anything after drinking it.
