Re: What type of pre-natals do you take?

I take the Duet DHA and I absolutely abhor them. They make me nauseous every night. I think I'm gonna switch this month.

I don't know if everyone who takes this brand has the same experience, but I'm not a fan.

Re: What type of pre-natals do you take?

I took PrimaCare, the two tablet one. PITA! I switched back to regular OTC prenatals and the Expecta DHA tabs because I didn't feel like spending $35 a month on the rx vits anymore.

Re: What type of pre-natals do you take?

after taking my BC my Dr. gave me Calnate

than she gave me Prima Care One (I notice a lot of weight gain with this one) and asked to be put back on Calnate, which I'm currently taking.

Re: What type of pre-natals do you take?

I take Duet too. The only thing I don't like about them is the clear capsule gives me fishy tasting burps. Chat Icon

The pharmacist switched me to a generic version, though and those were awful, I was gagging on them. I went back to the Duet and was much better.

Re: What type of pre-natals do you take?

I think I take Duet DHA too. They made me nauseous at first but they don't bother me now. For a while I got myself so worked up over them I'd gag before I even put them in my mouth, but I'm over it now.

I take the Target brand. When I have my first OB appointment next week, though, I'm going to ask her about adding a DHA supplement.

Re: What type of pre-natals do you take?

Premesis--it contains only b6 and folic acid. it is meant for people whose morning sickness prevents them from taking a full prenatal. i stayed on it my whole pregnancy b/c i seemed to have trouble when i tried to change back to a complete prenatal. i also take iron and i later added vitamin C to the regimen.
