Personally I would still tip the $2. It wasn't the person that delivers the pizza that changed the Free Delivery to a $1.00.
(which I don't see how a $1.00 is going to help for gas- but whatever)

I agree. I don't think that the poor delivery guy should be penalized for a decision that was made by his place of employment.
ETA: the $1 surcharge will add up if they deliver more then one pizza at a time. Most places send out 4-5 deliveries that are close at once. That adds up to at least a gallon of gas.

our Pizza place did the same thing... but they never said anything about i.. we realized it after the fact (the 1st time it happened). then the 2nd time, i asked the delivery guy about it, and he said something about Gas... which i Do think is BS- b/c im not getting paid more to drive to work, why should they be able to falsey advertise, and then kick on the extra buck to keep their profits the same?  But, it is only a dollar, so its not worth causing any problems with the place.. i just vent about it Here 
but ANyway... we still tipped him the same that we usually do.. b/c the delivery guy isnt the one getting the extra $$$ most likely
