Re: How to keep it together?
please vent away! My turn: If my DH knew half of my obsessing for the past 2 months - he'd freak out. He does not deal well with "emotions" unless i'm sobbing about something. I don't want him to know either because then he may feel "stressed" doing the deed which would defeat the purpose
when i told him i thought AF showed last nite he just looks at me and says "what do you mean you think" - duh spotting! then proceeds to tell me about his car trouble

Re: How to keep it together?
why can't you pinpoint your o? did you try the OPK? I think men get upset or are at a loss when they don't know how to "fix" something... I didn't tell DH that i used the OPK this past month

Sometimes you just need to talk to your girls (aka US) instead!

Re: How to keep it together?
i was browsing in the bookstore the other day and picked up a book about (surprise, surprise) pregnancy and fertility. the author was saying that the woman typically gets much more invested in ttc, and is usually the one who takes responsibility for infertility even though it's male factor just as often...
i guess my point is, we are not alone in thinking that we are taking this much harder than our DHs...

Re: How to keep it together?
I don't know how to keep it together. If you get the answer, I'll be the first one listening.
After 12 months of TTC and fertillity testing on the horizon (Monday), DH has finally started accepting that we might have a problem and talking about it. He spoke to an old friend (who had ttc problems a few years ago) and through the conversation he realized that I am NORMAL. That my mood swings, my anger, my crying over BFNs, my imagining symptoms and my ttc obsession are all normal.
I have always felt normal thanks to the AMAZING ladies on this site, but now he knows I'm normal too.
Some months are harder than others. I have 5 pregnant friends (three are my best friends), all who have become pregnant in the time we have been trying.

Don't give up hope!
My friend was trying for 6 years and she is now pg. I know that is a long time but it happened. She pretty much gave up and just excepted the fact she will not be pg. Well, now she is 14 weeks.
Good Luck!!!!
Sorry Caroline!!! Vent away. Men just don't understand! Hang in there!
