How ridiculous is this????
We took Jack for his 2 month appt and 1st shots yesterday...
This porker is weighing in at 16 lbs. 4 oz. and measured 23.5 inches. He polishes off 32 oz of formula a day like it's nothing.
I don't want him to be the fat kid in class. Are we doing something wrong?

He's adorable!
I don't think you can overfeed them at this point.

Awwwwwwww :) Not at all. DS is in 95% for weight and the ped said it would likely even out over time. Some just grow/eat faster/more than others!! He is a cutie pie!!

I don't think so. He's eating what he needs. My son was eating that at 8 weeks too.

I have the same concerns with my kids & they're not that heavy. They slim down a lot once they start walking, crawling. Don't worry about it now.

It's best to follow his feeding cues and feed as much as he wants. Limiting his amount of food could cause more food issues.

Re: How ridiculous is this????
I had/have the same worries as you do about my DS eating too much and gaining too much, but everyone assures me that some babies are just like this..
At his one month appointment, Nikolas gained over 3 pounds since birth. He was born 7 lbs. 4 oz. and now at 5 weeks he is 10 lbs, 11 oz
Since four weeks old, DS has been eating anywhere between 30-34 oz formula a day ... he had a growth spurt 'early' according to our pediatrician, and he's just a very hungry boy -
I wouldn't worry, they eat what they need

Re: How ridiculous is this????
Thanks for the reassurance ladies. I hate when I get that "I have no idea what I'm doing" feeling. You guys always make me feel like I'm doing ok. Thanks again

Re: How ridiculous is this????
no way! Once he starts running around and NOT wanting any food thats put in front of him, your gonna wish for the day when he was guzzling formula like that
