ridiculous heartburn
I have had heartburn before being pregnant and I also had it earlier in my pregnancy, but what I'm experiencing now is like something I have never felt before. I'm 31 weeks and I feel like I can breath fire. Normally heartburn is a constant burning sensation, but this heartburn kind of comes and goes and when it hits, it's exremely painful. Last night ot woke me up three times and was so bad I swore my throat was on fire and thought I was going to throw up. Even Tums doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Anyone else have this hell fire? It's kind of scary.

Re: ridiculous heartburn
I feel your pain, literally!! I made it through to about 33 weeks or so without any heartburn at all, I thought I was in the clear but boy was I wrong! it was exactly as you described, i got it for about 1 week straight usually around lunch time and then again at night, it would come and go and it was horrible!!! 2 tums usually did the trick for me. Now at 37+ weeks I am in the clear again and get it very rarely!

Re: ridiculous heartburn
Go get some Zantac! I also had heartburn just like you describe and couldn't take it anymore. My dr told me that Zantac 150 was fine to take. I take one with breakfast in the morning and my heartburn is soooo much better. I still pop a couple of tums throughout the day but at least it doesn't hurt anymore!
