I think DH wants to start trying for #2 soon
Oh boy. If I have another child like Alex, I'll end up in the grave in 5 years or less.

I don't think so I see all these ladies on here getting pregnant with #2, and while I'm so excited for everyone, I just can't imagine taking care of another child with Alex. I love her to pieces, but she's so high maintenance and demanding. I truly believe my greatest fear in life is having another high maintenance child and having to deal with two instead of just one!
Edited to say - he just told me he wants 2 more. Now I DEFINITELY DO NOT want to start trying!

I JUST wrote the same thing to another post. Happy for others, but kind of glad it ain't me yet.
Bella isn't super high maintenance, but when she doesn't get her way WOOOOOO-boy watch out...I have a hard enough time trying to juggle it all with one...and even though a lot of that pressure I put on myself, I cannot imagine what I would do to myself with another...

Can you hold him off a while? I put my foot down for waiting one more year. I'm just not ready. Physically or mentally.

Good Luck!!!
We've had four miscarriages since we started trying and now I have to see an RE.
A good thing is and I've learned from numerous friends is DH's who weren't overly helpful during pregnancy and the early stages are with #2 thanks to the fact that now see how much fun a toddler is.

Re: I think DH wants to start trying for #2 soon
Ehhh, I'm just so torn. I always knew I wanted my children to be close in age, but now that we're encroaching on the 2 year mark, I don't know... maybe I'd feel differently if Alex had been an easy baby, but I think she has scared me! But then, I start thinking, if I have another child like Alex, I better get started while I"m still young and have the energy! Ok, I guess I just don't know how I feel

I agree and I don't have a high maintenance baby. I just feel like I am finally returning to myself after 8 mos and crappy PPD. Very happy for everyone else but I am happily waiting

My husband has been bothering me since Nicholas was born. He is 6 months now and high maintenance so I told DH to get another dog.

Re: I think DH wants to start trying for #2 soon
One of my good friends whose ds is around the same age as mine just got PG w/ #2 and for about 2 seconds I got the itch. 2 seconds. It is SO much work! Then I go back and forth like you wanting them to be close in age. But, in the end...we're going to wait another year. To be honest, I LOVE my 1 on 1 time with Joseph and I'm not ready to give it up yet. For as demanding as he is I love every single minute we spend together and I'm not ready to share that yet.
