Those who had a m/c- update
Did you all wait one cycle before trying again? I didn't have a d&c, and I am not sure if I want to wait.... I am anxious to try again.
Well we decided to try before AF comes....we'll see. It is a long shot, but I really felt like my body was ready. So now I will just hope and pray for the best.

Re: Those who had a m/c
I want to try right away. I had a m/c a week and a half ago. I've been trying to research why I should wait or try right away- and most of the research says that you should wait so that the uterine lining sheds and everything goes back to normal. They say you have a higher chance of miscarriage if you try again right away.
I still go back and forth on this- I didnt have a D&C either- and I know the recovery from a d&c is more entailed than a natural miscarriage. I dont know. There are plenty of people out there who tried right away and got pg on the first try after a m/c and had successful pg's. I think I would be devastated if I have another m/c- so I think I might wait until I get AF again- but I'm not sure.

Re: Those who had a m/c
Since I had a D&C and a hyperemisis Gravadarum pregnancy I have to wait 3 cycles. the reasons are the stress on your body and the uterine lining is too weak to hold another pregnancy (according to my dr.) However, if you are mentally ready and have had a natural mc than I have heard many, many women get pregnant right after a mc. Good luck!
I am so anxious to as well, but also know my body can't handle it right now. I had D&C in August. I am currently going through my second cycle. so after the new year we are forging ahead

Re: Those who had a m/c
I had a m/c last week and my dr said to wait once cyle to start trying also. Im not going to use opk's and get myself all worked up this month, but im also not going to be careful. I put my heart and soul into getting PG last month and it ended in M/C, so this time im just going to let things fall into place. I feel that when im ment to be PG again, i will be. Of course if it takes to long, ill get into charting and opks but im hoping i dont have to do that yet.

Re: Those who had a m/c
I had a MC in Sept...I wasn't planning on waiting and just wasnt careful. However, I thougth I had a BFP last week but it just turned out it was a false positive and AF is here...which I was happy about since I thought I was miscarrying again. The Dr said that having AF ensures that all of the hormones and tissue have completely left your system so now, I have a fresh start and CANNOT wait to start to try again as soon as AF is finished. DH is right there with me thinking that this next month will be ours so I am going to try to monitor myself as much as possible. I wish all you much

Re: Those who had a m/c
I didn't wait and got pg 3 weeks after my m/c last year, i had a natural m/c at 5.5 weeks. I was scared to death i would m/c again. We were ready emotionally to handle it, but if you think you wouldn't be able to go through it again, let yourself grieve a bit, then start trying again. My dr told me there's no medical reason to wait, and we figured if my body can get pg again, it can handle it. I have a healthy 6 month old baby :)
Soo sorry for your loss

I recently had a miscarriage also, the doctor told me that I had to wait for my levels to get to 0 before we started trying again.

Re: Those who had a m/c
I had a natural miscarriage in Sept. never got AF and i am preggos again. Everything seems to be going fine thus far. If u have a natural mc it is said that TTC'ing right away is fine.

Ditto. I have a beautiful 13 month daughter that is the result of a pregnancy that quickly followed an m/c. My doc told me to wait 2-3 months, but I ended up getting pregnant exactly one week after my m/c. I was terrified by my doc assured me there was no real medical reason to wait, that they usually recommend it just so you can date the pregnancy and make sure you are mentally ready. Be careful if you DO plan on waiting because you are particularly fertile after a miscarriage.

Re: Those who had a m/c
Thank you for the feedback. I really don't want to wait. I am scared of having another m/c, but because it happened so early the first time I do feel like my body is probably fine. I just hate the thought of waiting and waiting... I talked to DH and he is unsure if we should try or wait for AF to come. He has all of 8 hours to make a decision because I think I am ovulating today!
