Re: When is it time for.....

Good questions...

I was surprised when my neighbors told me they've had their DD in a toddler bed since 14 months.

At almost 16 months Jake

- is still in his crib
- still naps in his pack n play

The exersaucer was retired a long time ago... maybe 10 - 11 mos. He never really liked it.

Jenna is almost 26 months and still in her crib-never tried to climb out...yet.

She actually never used the pack n play-maybe once when she was 3months old.

I think I retied the exercauser when she was about 10 months.

Re: When is it time for.....

so am I supposed to wait for her to climb out of the crib to move her to a bed?

I was figuring I'd leave the nursery as is for baby #2 and Alyson would move to the other bedroom with her own big girl bed (she'd be about 18 months old)

Jake is still in his crib - he climbed out once. He will be 2 in 14 days. I will probably keep him in the crib for as long as I can. I have a convertible crib for him, so when it is time to move him, I will be using the crib he is in now.
I plan on getting this new baby their own furniture.

As for the exasaucer, I think I stopped using it by 8 months.
and the pack and play I only use if we are away on vacation, that is what Jake sleeps in.

My 2 will be 18 months apart too.
My sister suggested to me, to keep my DD in her crib as long as possible. So I took a hand me down crib for the new baby.

DD still uses her pack and play to nap in at daycare.

I use the excersauser every once in a while when I'm cooking dinner.

DD is 11 months old.

Re: When is it time for.....

a big kids bed? Dunno, but we'll probably convert Nate's crib after he turns 2.

retire the excersaucer? When they get bored with it or meet the height requirement. Nate was around 8 months when we stopped using it.

retire the pack n play? I guess you don't really need to retire it, until the kid can climb out. Nate doesn't really use his at 17 months. He stands on the toys to try to get out.

Julia will be 16 months, I'm planning on putting her in a toddler bed at 2 years, she doesn't sleep in her crib (co-sleep) so I'm hoping I wont have a problem w/ the bed.

She stopped using her exersaucer and pack and play at 9 months.

I'm planning on keeping them in their cribs until they start climbing out. Thats what I did with my first - which was about 2 1/2. (It was very difficult getting him to stay in his bed though)
Exersaucer and pack and play have been retired since they are about 10 months. Pack and play will still be used if we go away though.
