Massages
Question- I was making an appointment for a massage and they asked me if I was in my 1st trimester of pregnancy. I said no but reality is that I could be.
Is it bad to have a massage?

Re: Massages
My Dr recommended no massage until 2nd tri. She said that a light shoulder or face massage would be OK, but definitely no deep tissue, shiatsu or hot/cold therapy.

Re: Massages
It is not really recommended to get massage on your 1st trimester (although I still do it!!)... I have to because I am in school for it and graduating in 5 weeks so .... I can't stop at this time.
The pressure HAS TO BE extremelly light. No asian type massage with accupressure. No work around the ankle (that's for the whole pregnancy!). No abdominal work.
Just very very light pressure for "relaxing" purpose.
If you decide to do it... make sure the person KNOWS what they are doing in term of pregnancy massage.
