Are there any sexual positions unsafe?

Just curious - I dont want my mind occupied when we are having sex and thinking "Is this bad for the baby?"

I'm in my 2nd trimester - I mean, we arent upside down or hanging off the chandaliers or anything, but you know, we get active.... Chat Icon

So, anything I should know for 2nd trimester? What about 3rd trimester?

Thanks ladies!

Re: Are there any sexual positions unsafe?

I actually asked my doctor this Chat Icon mainly because I am just so unconfortable in most positions! They said nothing is unsafe except when the belly starts getting bigger, you shouldn't be laying on your back because of circulation issues. But the doc DID tell me that laying on your side with DH behind you seems to be the most popular and comfortable for PG women! Chat Icon I haven't tried it yet...Chat Icon

I wouldn't know- my DH won't go NEAR me that way. It freaks him out.

I hope it comes back, i am just trying to show DH that I am still fun and not just a blob who takes up most of the bed these days.Chat Icon my sex drive? completely forced and fake. too much going on, I haven't had a big O in weeks.

For some reason, sex makes my heartburn 100% worse.

way too much TMI, but I try for short sessions as well. Do something else for a little while before you actually start intercourse.

I am trying to be a good sport, DH never intiates..but I am just adding up the weeks..6 weeks post partum..kind of long. If I felt the baby was in any kind of jeopardy, I would skip it..but I have never had spotting or anything afterwards.

I think all you girls who are working are so good. When we moved to NC, I was going to work for a few months, but DH had to leave for a 7 week training session. So I stopped working at 4 months. If I was working, I would not be exercising, cooking, cleaning, or sexing. I can guarentee that.

For me it was the complete opposite. I told my husband he needed to take one for the team.

I did hear that oral sex wasn't a good idea but that was from the What to Expect When You're Expecting book about 5 years ago. Not sure if that's still the case.

It is ok to have oral sex (either way) as long as he is not blowing air inside of you...which is kind of weird anyway!
