Can someone explain to me what GBS is?
How do u get it? How would it effect the baby?

i think its group beta strep, they test for it around 34 weeks.
if you are positive, i think that you need to have an antibiotic iv when giving birth.

It's a bacteria that lives in some women as normal flora it doesn't affect you but your baby can get very sick if passed on so it is treated with antibiotics prior to delivery.

Yes and the antibiotics burn like hell when they give them to you. It hurt more than some of my contractions

Yes and the antibiotics burn like hell when they give them to you. It hurt more than some of my contractions
I tested positive for Strep but I didn't feel anything when they put the IV in me.
