We rented the one in Lynbrook and we didn't need to know anyone.
There was a list of them..if I can find it for you...

Also you can do American Legions, Knights of Columbus and Masonic Halls that you don't need to be a member of either. I rented a American Legion and didn't have to be a member.

I had my Sweet 16 at the Lynbrook one! (If it's the same one :)

Yeah, this would be for her 1st b-day party, my house just can't hold 50+ people!
Let me tell you, the Knights of Columbus winds up being not so cheap: (I've called a lot of them, here's the average):
$400 for the hall
$11 p/p for drinks (even if I don't get alcohol)
$5 for kids for drinks
It's going to wind up costing us around $1200 to have it at a K of C & I'll STILL have to do all of the cooking!Chat Icon
At that rate, I'm better off at a restaurant.Chat Icon
Thanks for the help ladies!Chat Icon

Try the N. Babylon FH on Hunter Road off of Deer Park Avenue. They have a huge facility and I think ( not 100% sure) that anyone can book it. It is just cheaper for members & friends.

I've tried the East Northport/Northport firehouses. I was furious to discover that it's not available to the "public" but it's available for every drunken firemen's kids' christening.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Did you try the KofC behind Pat's?

not to change the subject but...
i think drunken firemen is a harsh term to use. couldn't you just say firemen?
my dad, uncle, grandfather, brother and most other firemen aren't drunks.

You mean the E. NPT K of C behind Hewitt Shopping Ctr?
If so, then yes, that's the one that would cost us around $1200 before tax, tip, any food, decorations, etc...

I had the same problem you are having. All the Knight of Columbus halls are so expensive. The ELks club in Huntington was $600 just for the room and then you had to pay for extras.

105 on the Harbor was a pretty good deal as was La Casa.
