Re: When did you Register
WE are registering next weekend.
I'll be 16 weeks. My shower will be the end of January because with twins chances are I'll be out on disability the last few months of my pregnancy and probably so uncomfortable it will be hard to enjoy it.
I'll do my registry in stages, bigger gender neutral stuff now and add to it by week 20 when we find out.
Some of my close family want to buy us some baby related gifts for the holidays so another reason to register early.

Good idea. I kept putting off registering because I am the biggest procrastinator and then found myself on modified bedrest at 24weeks. I eventually went to BRU around 28/29 wks in short trips for the big things and did the rest online.

Re: When did you Register
DH & I just found out last week that we are expecting. We are only due in August but we were so excited that we went out yesterday and registered. Is that okay? Did anyone do their registry in the beginning? My "wonderful" MIL had a huge problem with it. But people already want to buy us gifts and I figured why not give them a choice of stuff.

Re: When did you Register
We started around 3 mths and finished at 8 mths. I was constantly changing my mind.
In the beginning I didn't want to know the sex either so I did everything neutral. Then we found out so somethings I made girly.

Is doing it in the first trimester wrong?
I wouldn't necessarily say it's "wrong".
Most people like to get out of the first trimester before they register because it's "safer" once you are in the 2nd - less chance of a miscarriage, etc.
For me, it's a superstitious thing and I won't register until after our Level II.
But if you are comfortable with your decision, no one should tell you otherwise. Especially "helpful" MILs!!
