Andrew's Modeling Adventure Part I...(long)
Many have fm'd to let them know how we got Andrew started so I thought I would try and help all of you out even though you are competition
I saw the list of agencies posted on here about 2 months ago. I sent his pictures out and 2 agencies called us back. One I didn't want to work with because they are waaaayyy to busy and the other I decided to make an interview with.
Well, we had the interview yesterday and we were sooo nervous.
We had to go into the city and when we got to the office we had to wait. During this time many agents kept coming into the room eyeballing Andrew. He was soo good which I was told really helped. He didin't cry at all.
Our agent finally came in. The agent went on to explain that you can't have an outside job and have a child in modeling, about how he got paid, and really how the industry worked. We were originally told weeks ago that it would take 2 weeks for their decision and we would only get 15 mins for the interview. Well, 1 hr 30 mins later he was signed. We were in complete shock.
They hired him right on the spot. They were so excited about him. They only sign 500 kids and are compared to Ford and Wilhemina. Their biggest client for babies is Toys'r'us.
As some of you might know money is tight over here so we knew deep down we couldn't do it even though we wanted to.
I had DH call them to tell them because I was too heartbroken to call.
Well, they want him any way they can have him!!!!!!!! She said she will work around my work schedule and send his pictures out. She told me that he will do very well in this industry and even though they rarely do it they will let us decide what go-sees to go on
Now we have to get his working permits and wait until they call us with where we have to go next.
I am sorry if it sounds like bragging but I am overjoyed!!!
I will be happy with one thing in print and then I will stop it if it is too hard.

Congrats!!!! I am so happy for Andrew!!!!! Yes, I did vote for him all the time. He is so handsome and deserves it!!!  You are just happy like any mother would be. No, you do not sound as if your bragging at all.

congrats!!! my aunt is always trying to get my kids into modeling. she is a scout but i just don't have the time! wish i did! andrew photographs beautifully!

Congrats! Since I'm new I'm not too sure what you mean about having your DH calling to tell them you couldn't do it....did you change your mind? I'm confused...? Your son is beautiful, by the way!

I think she meant she has to work full time but they are going to work around it
