Anyone see this on Netflix? Half the time I was just like wtf is this about. I think Sarma was in on it.
I do want to try the raw food vegan lasagne, though. I have the ingredients on my shopping list.

I would hope she was in on it - otherwise she's gotta be quite gullible to think her and her dog would be immortal.
But it's not like she benefited from it. She ruined her business, ruined her chances of having another business, married a guy she stated multiple times that she wasn't attracted to, and didn't do much with the money other than take trips and let her husband gamble.

I don't think she was in on it. I think he just manipulated the utter shit out of her. Brainwashed her. I was on the fence about her, but I feel like if she was in on it, wouldn't he have said something in one of their recorded convos?
I don't understand how someone can get fooled like she did for that long, but it happens. She ruined her whole life because of this guy.

I only think that because of the phone call at the end.

Supposedly that last call was not how Netflix made it seem. She’s saying it didn’t happen after she got out of jail, and it happened because she was trying to get something from recording the convo with him. Who knows.

I made one of her recipes (tomato and zucchini lasagna) and it was really good. I had to do a few changes so it isn’t completely raw (used roasted nuts and I’m not sure if the olive oil was cold-pressed or not and sugar instead of agave, which I didn’t have) and vegan (used parmigiano cheese).
It was delicious and so filling. I highly recommend it!
