Sorry to intrude...

but I was wondering if you all could give me some recommendations on some items for a gift basket for an upcoming baby shower.

I wanted to put a basket together for the mom-to-be. I figured everything she gets will be for the baby so it would be nice to give her a basket filled with things that she can use after the baby is born.

I'm not sure how often she will be able to use any bath products to pamper herself with the new baby and having to watch him. Was thered anything that you might have gotten that you were graterful for???

I loved getting a GC for a massage. It was really the only thing that was just for me and it was great! Or even some GC to local restaurants so when the happy couple comes home with the baby they don't have to worry about cooking. You may also want to give her "coupons" for babysitting, so she can reconnect with her DH after the baby is born. I would have loved something like that.

I just made one and in the middle of making another for my sister. Im not a mom yet but HTH.

Here is what I put in there:
Clothes
bibs
Onesies
pacifier
Wipes
socks
rattle/toy
A picture frame
A piggy bank(small one I got at AC Moore and decorated myself)
Scrapbook I made for baby

Get her a really nice sleep mask -- she'll need to be taking naps when its light out!!!

A gift certificate for delivered/catered meals would also be really appreciated.
