I think for the most part you get what you give but I do see it as unbalanced also. I think if you spew negativity you get that back but people who generally project goodness don't always get that back.

And I'm confused as to what just happened on this thread...

Yes, I think ALWAYS people get back what they put into this world.

I think, in a religious sense, people who stick up for other people and who are generally good to others or try to be at all times and are helpful and are not "keeping tabs" or waiting until they are served goodness first, will get the good that is coming to them. Either through "judgement day" or when they look at themselves in the mirror- I truly believe that. Also, people who are negative often find that their friends can see through it and probably talk about them. They are surrounded by negativity. JMO.


That is not to say "nice" people are always nice. I think that is a crazy word. We are humans and err. But I do think it is about TRYING to be helpful and kind at all times, even if someone is hurtful or vindictive.

i think you get what you give - if you are nasty and complain, people will either avoid you completely or be nasty right back to you.

if you are nice, people tend to be nice back, not always, but 99% of the time

YES!!!!!

I def believe that what you give is what you get- and for the times you are nice and the person is still mean or uncooperative- they are just a miserable person and move on-
when your mean- hey the saying misery loves company is a FACT! and I also believe in what comes around goes around.

Personally I think yes what you give is what you get..!!!.. If you are a nasty person then you receive nastiness back ... I also think birds of a feather flock together so if you a nasty individual usually thats who you role with nasty people.

Speaking from a doormat's point of view, generally speaking what you give is what you get, but there are exceptions. Often, I have found that being nice gets me nowhere and I am screwed. People take advantage of the niceness and therefore, it doesn't always come back. It is frustrating, yet I personally try to remain nice in hopes that it will come back eventually. Yet, there are times when I find myself being not so nice, receiving niceness and finding my mind or attitude changing. Would my mind have been changed had I received negativity in return? Doubt it.

Karmically speaking, what goes around comes around. If that is true, I'm due some $h!t which I'm getting. Comes with being human. Gotta fight sometimes for what you need or believe and that can get nasty.
But at the same time, I've been everything for everyone and feel that I've gotten some blessings in return. I think it all evens out. But again, if you view life with negativity all the time, that is all you will see.
