things to do in NYC with almost 3 y/o
Dh and I were talking about going into the city in a few weeks when the weather is nice like it was today. DD has been in the city before, but just for sesame street live and a few other things near Penn. Otherwise, she's really not seen the city before. What are some fun things to do? She's not really a zoo kid, so we're ruling that out

I'd do the Central Park Zoo and then walk to the carousel. That's plenty for a 3yo.

Museum of Natural History and Alice’s Teacup.
If she likes Eloise there is an Eliose themed tea at the plaza.
Sea glass carousel though I’m not sure if it gets packed with tourists.
There are a few play spaces that are cute but I don’t really see the point in trekking to the city for a play space. We’ve gone when visiting friends but wouldn’t go alone.
The aquarium at Coney Island re-opened and is supposed to be great.

Central Park has lots to do. I would look on their website. There is tons of different playgrounds and even a little area where they have kiddie rides.

All good suggestions, the only thing I would note is that some of these things are far away from each other, so I would probably pick one area and stick to it.

Governor's Island opens May 1st, and it's so awesome there!!! You take the ferry from Battery Park, and it's a quick 5 minute ride. You could also go on the Sea Glass carousel in Battery Park after. At Governor's Island you can rent bikes and put her in the basket on the front, and ride around the island. They have a playground, a hill with a bunch of slides, a junkyard to build things, a zip line (she is too young for that), a maze thing to walk through, rock climbing, mini golf, etc. It's really such a nice place! And the views of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty are awesome! They have food trucks on the island, or you could pack a picnic

Yes, these would definitely not be doable in one day, except for the museum and alice’s tea cup. Take the A up from Penn and then you can walk between the 2.
Or the Plaza and if she wanted to do Central Park.

In my head I'm seeing them trying to get from Coney Island to Battery Park to the museum LOL
