If you have natural gas (National Grid)...
...is there something wrong with my house or have bills the past few months been insanely high? It hasn't even been cold yet and I've kept my heat very low but my bills are way higher than last year! I tried to read my bill to see if rates changed but there are 4,692 different surcharges and it's impossible to understand. Just curious if anyone else noticed this!!

If you have natural gas (National Grid)...
Is this a new house? Is your meter updated? My gas bills are around $150 for a 1300 sqft house and I keep my house at around 62/64. 62 at night I also sleep with my window open so it’s running more but I need the heat for my kids.

I moved into my house in May. Bills over the summer were in the $40 range. Nov was about $120 and Dec was about $210. (2200 sq ft house) I don't keep my heat up too high (around 67 for most of the day), but I can't stand being cold and so don't lower it too much either. I don't know how my bills so far compare to other years

I just got a bill for about $225 for last month which seems high because I don't think it was that cold? I know normally in the dead of winter our bills are close to $300.

My dad's went up more than expected and he wasn't there the whole time; he lowered the thermostat while he was away. It's crazy.

Just got my Natl Grid bill today, $175 which didn’t seem too bad but then I saw it said I used much less therms this year than last year same month... so they must have increased the cost per therm and then all the other fees. A little scared of how high my bill will be for the next 3 months if we have a cold winter, hope we don’t get slammed!

Same here. We used less than last Dec, but the cost went up so the bill was more. So once it starts getting really cold, our bill will be through the roof.
