Need cell phone help - and maybe carrier too

My cell phone just died - cannot be repaired. Shopped all day and I still don't have one. Wondering if I should change carriers since I need to get a new phone too. Any recommendations for a phone that is not too expensive? And/or a carrier that you really like? My carrier has great deals for new customers but not existing. I do not want to spend 1k on a phone but I don't want a piece of junk either. Definitely not how I planned on spending my Sunday. Help please! TIA!

I recently bought a cell from Gazelle and would highly recommend.

I am not interested in the latest models and refuse to pay a lot of money for a cell. Gazelle offers certified pre-owned products with a cosmetic condition listing as fair, good or excellent. 30 day return policy.

I switched to TMobile last year and I love them! Check if they have any deals on the iPhones.
