Friends house
Have you seen anything you really liked at your child’s friends house in a playroom? For example, I saw a hopscotch rug on the parenting board that was awesome. Also, foam darts at IKEA. Just looking for ideas. Thanks.

We had a book nook in our playroom for the longest time. It had a little half canopy thing that hung from the wall, the hopscotch rug, a Joe chair from walmart, and some shelves that displayed the books (photo ledge shelves).

Re: Friends house
When we went to Europe for my 40th birthday, we stopped in the Lego store in London. They have this photobooth that takes your picture and you can assemble it in Lego. This was the souvenir for our kids. Everyone comments on their portraits the first time they see them. It is unique and fun. Now there are services on line that will let you send in a photo and have it made into a lego diagram. You could do the same thing.
Alternatively, you could frame board games as art. They are still playable, if you search pinterest you will find ideas for this.
