Where can a single mother go for help?
Posting for a friend.
She has a 1 year old, recently unemployed (almost 6 months now) lives with babies father and as of yesterday, he is kicking her out. She is working temp jobs to make money and will be temporarily living with her sister but cannot stay there.
What programs are available for her? Any assistance from NY state, long island? She's in Suffolk county. She'll need housing and daycare so she can actually work and find a full time job eventually.
Any help is appreciated. Organizations to call. Anything

This guy is putting his one-year-old out on the street? What a scumbag.
If she belongs to a church they might be able to point her in the direction of some assistance

Department of Social Services can probably point her in the right direction and help her figure out what services are available to her.

She needs to go to family court and petition for child support. What a POS to put his baby on the street.
