The cynical side of me thinks that more info is going to come out a week from now and find out it was on purpose. :(
I had the same thought.
I wonder if it was somewhere in between. Not that she was trying to kill her, but something more like, the kids was misbehaving- so the mom told her to stay there untill she clamed down or the kid refused to come in & the mom didn't argue with her, figurig she'd come in later & forgot about the child locks & lost track of time, something like that.
This is where my mind goes to, as well .
Btw did they release the families name? I see many people commented on seeing the family on social media pages.

I don't know if it's been released, but it was as easy as punching the street address into facebook. I did that because I know someone who lives in that area that has 11 year old twins, and my heart stopped for a minute

2 minutes after she called. That article is pretty much the exact same as all the others out there. Not really updated.
The neighbor interviewed on camera said she was a sweet and talkative girl and he rode the bus with her. So she had to have been verbal.
The NY Post article that it links to said the house was armed with cameras inside and out. So I'm sure those are being reviewed and if 3 hours passes before she called 911, they will know
