Does anyone do this as a hobby? I’m looking for a new craft hobby
I watched some you tube videos on how to and it looks hard?

It’s actually really easy. I haven’t done it in years, but it isn’t difficult at all.

Funny to read this. I said the same thing to myself 2 weeks ago. I decided to try and cross stitch. I found some cute (snarky) patterns on etsy that I downloaded and watched some videos as well. The issue i have is nobody has the cross stitch supplies in stock! I went to three Michaels and a Hobby Lobby. You will need to buy everything online. (shipping cost more then the floss!!!).

I used to cross stitch all the time. I liked the big kits that had nice scenes (my mom has a few religious ones I've done). My eyes aren't the same as they used to be so it would be harder for me now, but I used to enjoy it.

I also preferred making the "x" instead of a satin stitch. I hate those for some reason. :)

Haven't done it in years. I have a tablecloth that needs finishing, been working on it for 25 years.
Maybe if I put the basket on the coffee table instead of the closet I might get it done

i learned to embroider at about 8. i love it.
once i picked up knitting, i kind of stopped embroidery. recently a friend cleared out some of her supplies and she gave them to me. i should pick it up again.

it's pretty easy to get the hang of it.
