Help! Need certified copy of divorce decree from Manhattan

My friend is in a panic. After months of being given the run around she spoke with someone today who told her the copy of her certified decree could take 18-24 months. Divorce was filed in Manhattan, she lost the original copy and is getting married in two weeks.

Can she just physically go somewhere and quickly get what she needs?

I’m sure she could go to some office and get a new copy. Did she use a lawyer? If so, maybe she should ask her/him?

Divorced are public record. She shouldn’t have a problem locating it online. She doesn’t need her actual “decree”... just something stating she’s legally divorced. There’s a US Supreme Court website she should be able to find it on.
