Pizza for adults/bday party

So another bday party question. Having a bday party at a bounce place- for the adults, how much pizza do you typically order? Is 2 slices a person is good? TIA.

Re: Pizza for adults/bday party

2 slices will be more than enough.
I always like to have more than less though, so I don't mind taking home some left overs because... pizza! Chat Icon

That will be fine!

I think you'll get more people that will take none than will take two slices. I'd calculate 1 slice per person and round up a pie (or 2 if it's close).

I usually do at least 1 per adult, but not quite 2 per adult. So around 1.5? Lol. I always prefer having extra over not having enough. Nothing worse than being at a kids birthday party and running out of pizza.

I'll never forget when DS was little. He just finished his first half a slice of pizza and asked for more. There was none left because adults had eaten and there wasn't enough for the adults. I felt terrible for DS. Since then, I've always ordered more than enough. We once left a party with 3(!!!) extra pies. Lol. I'm totally fine with that, rather than telling kids they can't eat more.

I don’t know what parties you guys are going to but I always see the parents eat. I make a point to grab a slice when I see there is a ton because I know the parents paid for everyone to eat and are glad when they do.

Oh there is NO shame in my game. You put a hot pizza in front of me and that heavenly smell and I don't care if I just ate a 4 course dinner, I'm eating a slice!

But I also think it's blasphemy to eat a salad at McDonald's and every time I get my DD a Happy Meal, you know I'm getting a quarter pounder with cheese, so.....
Maybe I'm not the best person to go by.

I see most parents eat at parties but I am one that doesn't sometimes. Right now I am doing weight watchers (I am on and off it all the time basically I loose then gain all of it back and do it again cause I am stupid and love food) and when I am on it I am very strict so sometime I don't want to waste the points. So even though I won't gain on the spot I rather not do it but it does take a lot in me not to eat it cause I do love pizza.

I totally get that - i was mainly kidding. What gets me are the stick thin ppl who say they dont eat pizza at the party but go home and eat 4 slices in their houses. Hahaha

I only eat the pizza if it's at/around a mealtime (and I'm hungry)...some kids parties they're giving you pizza at 3PM when we already had lunch and it's not quite dinner.

Well I ordered enough pies for 2 slices each person...but I also found out they cut the pies into 16ths, so I am hoping people eat (it's around dinner time so I would think?) Otherwise I guess we are bringing a crap ton of extra pizza home...

Pizza for adults/bday party

I don't eat at kids parties. I find in general that it is 50/50 half eat, half don't. We did an early party one year and had bagels for the parents. We had over a dozen left and we had a lot of parents. I took a few home and left the rest for the staff at the party place.

They normally cut it that way for kids yes.
But when the do that, I just take 2 of the 1/16th slices for myself so I'm getting a full slice.
So that shouldn't affect what you have left over.
Most adults want a full slice, not a half, so they will take the 2 halves
