outlook question - i figured it out lol

how do i set an event and a one week prior reminder on someone else's calendar?

someone in the office will be celebrating 30 years with the company. my boss asked me to put it on his calendar along with a one-week-prior reminder.

do i set a meeting or is there something else?
i attempted an all-day event, but it didn't give me the option of a reminder.

thanks.

ETA: i figured it out! lol

there is actually an area for reminder lol. i guess i didn't slow down long enough to read.

Re: outlook question

Do you have full rights to put things in his calendar?
If so, you shouldn't need to send a meeting invite.

Go into his calendar, find the date of the anniversary, add it as an all day event and you SHOULD see an option to set the reminder at the top. I just went in and did it and I do see it there.
You should be able to drop it down from the default reminder of like 15 minutes or 18 hours for an all day event- and change it to 1 week

i don't have full rights to his calendar... which would make life so much easier for a million things i do.

but i did see the reminder option. i was trying to be fast and i didn't read the silly word.

thanks!

i set it up as an all-day event with a one week reminder.
