when was your last checkup?

Do you still go to a general practitioner for regular physicals? I go to my OB annually, but really don't know the last time i went for a regular checkup..

I called mine for an appt, and it turns out he no longer practices lol... any recommendations near garden city?

I don’t have a recommendation for that area, but I normally go every 6 months. My GP checks my thyroid (I have a thyroid issue) so I see him every 6 months and get a physical at the same time. I’m pregnant (due anytime now) and haven’t gone since October because I’ve had other doctors checking my thyroid. I’ll probably go again in August. My DH however goes yearly.

I actually just got a physical and blood work last week... first time in about 5 years. 2016-2017 was all a RE and OBGYN. I go to the GYN and eye doctor annually

3 years ago. I wanted my thyroid checked because I wasn't getting pregnant. I only went because I didn't want my colleagues to know I was trying, or they could have done it.

Before that, probably at my pediatrician (I'm 33 so......a long time?)

I get my annual physical every year, usually late summer/early fall.

I get a full physical every year and thyroid work up every 6 months.

I try to do my annual stuff around the same time. Early spring.
OBGYN, mammo, physical, dental check up (cleaning every 6 mo) eyes, etc etc etc
Easier to remember doing it at same time

I don’t even remember, my guess would be almost 10 years ago.
I do go to the gyno annually and the dentist every 6 months.

I see my oncologist once a year. I’ll be seeing her soon. All my bloodwork is done there, and she and I agree that this is better than a checkup with a GP.

I have no use for a GP; I would only go to one if I wasn’t feeling well and who the eff wants to wait for an appointment when you can just pop in to an urgent care and get something to help you feel better?

Anything that urgent care can’t do for me means that my oncologist needs to be involved in some way.

I just went this past Oct for the first time in maybe 10 years. I will be going once a year for now on just to be proactive. I see my gyno once a year, eye dr once a year and dentist twice a year.

at a GP ? almost 3 years ago.

I see a cardiologist every six months to monitor my blood pressure and adjust my meds if necessary.
Gyn and mammo/sono annually.
Orthopedist to follow up my knee replacements every year.
I will have to add an Endo to the mix because I just found out I have nodules on my thyroid.

There is nothing a GP can do for me that isn't already taken care of. It's difficult to get a sick appointment with him anyway since he's overbooked, it's always the NP we see.

Probably the last time I was legally required to do so to attend school... so 15 years ago?

I had all bloodwork done when I got pregnant in 2016 so I guess that counts... sort of.

Last March.. I really need to get in soon, but I will never see a NP again, so the wait time is usually ridiculous and I continue to put it off.

i've started to get a full work up every other year.
i still haven't scheduled my mammogram and pap smear. need to plan them for july.

I get a yearly physical, but from the time I was 20-40 I probably only went to my ob.gyn, and even that I was bad about going to regularly. I also am on blood pressure medication so I go to my gp to monitor that every 3 months.

I try to go about once a year for a regular check up (and to ask if I notice any weird pains or anything unusual) once a year but I usually only make it once every couple of years. I try to go to OBGYN regularly, also get my skin checked by a dermatologist once a year or so bc I have so many moles & family history of skin cancer, also an ophthalmologist once every few years for my eyes. I'm thinking of going to a gastroenterologist for some stomach issues I've been having. I'm not great about making appointments as often as I should.

I get a full blood panel done 1x a year; outside of seeing the OB/GYN for my annual.
