if you don't want to go through a "company," how have some of you gone about finding someone?

how to find a cleaning lady
Local FB groups (word of mouth). People are usually quick to recommend their cleaning person so I usually got multiple names and contacted a few to see how much they charge and their availability. I prefer someone that has a group of people so it doesn't take as long as just 1 person.

I had a cleaning lady when I broke my shoulder. I got recommendations from friends. Now I am the cleaning lady,
