Fertilizer

Not sure which board to put this on, but I have a random question. If you put fertilizer on your grass, how long before you let the kids play on the grass again? DH just put down fertilizer and I'm scared to let the kids play out there ever again...this stuff looks toxic. He thinks I'm being crazy. Do you put fertilizer on the grass your kids play on? Don't know if I'm being paranoid here. Thanks!

Eventually the rain or the sprinklers will wash it away so yes.
I'd give it a day or so

My lawn guy says 24 hours. He says 48 hours or rain if the kids are crawling etc to be on the safe side.

Last year I had the kids stay off the grass for a week.

Dh does ours right before a good rain comes. That usually washes it away. Once I can't see the pellets I let them out. Also, once your grass is established we started using only organic nitrate in the backyard. Our grass was perfect last year, but we have a very established lawn that took a few years to get it like that and be able to not use the toxic stuff.

Thanks all...I'll keep them off the grass for a few days. I have a lot of cancer in my family so I tend to overthink these things. Thank u!
