Mother's Day Plans With Your Kids?
What is everyone doing on Mother's Day with your kids? Our original plan of going to Governor's Island looks like it's going to be a washout, boo!

Hosting brunch at home for everyone
Would have had it in the yard, but that never seems to work out because the weather ALWAYS sucks. Either too cold or rainy

DS is out "in the field" and won't be home for mother's day or my birthday (at the end of the month).
i'm probably going to spend a decent amount of time feeling sorry for myself. then SO will take me out to eat. i'll have booze and dessert and life will be better until i get on the scale. lol

Mother's Day Plans With Your Kids?
Hiding. I’m going to be hiding from her.
She told me last night that it’s almost mother’s day (they must be doing something at school) and said something about a book then followed up by saying “no, daddy likes books. Mommy likes menus.”

Hiding sounds like a great idea! Hiding at the spa first followed by mellow hiding at a place to do some casual day drinking.

Right? I’m going out with my bff Saturday night, sleeping in and then getting my hair cut and going shopping. And I guess eating, if you ask my DD.
Once DD understands Mother’s Day she’ll probably be excited to do something, so I’m getting my kicks in while I can!

The weekend has been taking over by sports! I coach soccer for both my girls so I’ll be spending it coaching Saturday and Sunday and I wouldn’t want it any other way! Last weekend I went and got a facial and eyelash extensions so that was my Mother’s Day treat and the down time was much needed!

It's my first as a single mom so I'm getting together with other single moms (and the kids) at a local park for a picnic lunch and playtime.

Since the rain is going to put a damper (literally) on any outside plans we had..
we're doing brunch at home (trying out the sausage tater tot breakfast casserole that Nervous Nell posted), then i'll probably continue day drinking while DS plays Legos and we might all watch a movie together or just sit around in pj's all day. I'm fine with it!
then dinner at 5 where i get to drink some more 
All i care about is not 'having' to do anything and i'll be happy

We’re ordering lunch in for everyone. Was hoping dh would do a cookout but the weather looks crummy. I don’t want any mess in my kitchen that is my Mother’s Day gift!
