Feel Good Wednesday!
So what’s your feel good feeling for this week?
There is a public holiday (Ascension Day; I live in a Catholic state) tomorrow, and the BF and I are going out for Ethiopian food tonight. I’m looking forward to introducing this food to him. Nothing beats a good curry!

Went over to our friend’s house last night for dinner and drinks...ended up taking their dog to the dog park until midnight. It’s just so nice outside, gotta soak it all in.
Gearing up to try surfing for the first time next weekend!
Oh also! I am down a size. Got new jeans last week and my ass looks great in them

Today is my birthday!!! 
and DH & I just bought a house!!!!! We have been looking for 3 months and finally found one in the neighborhood we want and it's a total renovated house so we don't need to do any work!! We are signing the contract this week

* all the moving parts of SO's surprise party are coming together!
* as of this paycheck, i am officially bringing home double the income i had when i was working for an attorney, in NJ. cost of living is just as crazy in southern CA as it was in central NJ. i do a fraction of the work i did back then and i bring home twice as much... plus the benefits here kick ass.
* i have gray hair. i have a cluster of it near my right temple... think bride of frankenstein. i'm currently not coloring my hair because i'm growing it out for a specific treatment. well... yesterday, someone told me that my face doesn't match my gray. eventually, i figured out that they were trying to tell me that i look a lot younger than my age. i don't believe it, but i will take it!

Feel Good Wednesday!
I moved into my new house yesterday and after all the stress of finding it and then getting work done (so many paint colors! Lol) I’m loving it! Spending the day unpacking and organizing- which might sound tedious, but I’m so happy and grateful to be here!

No, unfortunately. I think Whitsunday and Corpus Cristi are predominantly celebrated in Europe. I know some parts of the US celebrate Corpus Cristi, but not the Roman Catholic Church in NY! I live on the Queens/Nassau border. My next Catholic Holy Day off will be the Assumption 8/15. But I am looking forward to today and tomorrow off! After I go to Mass in the morning, going to see a friend for lunch and then going to see the Indigo Girls concert at night!. Enjoy your days too!

Ah, yes, we get off on the 15th of August as well.
ETA: Ascension Day is also Father’s Day here. They just let the fathers get drunk. Gotta love Europe.
