Anyone want to guess what time a performer would actually come on for a concert?
So trying to get P!NK tickets for tomorrow. (I posted when they first went on sale there was a glitch on the website and I lost my tickets). The longer you wait the cheaper they are and the person willing to go with me doesn’t want to spend tons of money.
She has an opening act and the time on ticket master says it starts at 7:30. What time do you think she would actually go on? I am willing to take a train to MSG and buy ticket almost an hour after if it means I am not going to miss her.

Probably around 9, give or take ten minutes.
FYI, Stub Hub stops the sale of tickets for an event before the event begins (and they don’t have a specific cutoff time...sometimes its four hours before, sometimes its on sale up until the minute the event begins) and there are loads of fraudulent tickets sold on the street by MSG.

Really I was searching for tickets for sale an hour after the concert on StubHub and they were coming up. Also through the Ticketmaster site I decided the checks I forgot about that one and they we’re also is going to allow me to buy them. I see tickets for sale constantly on StubHub after an event starts

There are no hard-and-fast rules to it. Sometimes they stop the sale hours before, usually they stop it at the same time the event begins. I guess they sell after it begins as well, though I’ve never had a reason to check that. I work in point-of-sale ticketing and resale sites pretty much do whatever they want.

I think the seller dictates it, I know I have season tickets to a sporting event and when I try to resell, it asks me when I want to take them off the market... It never lets me go past the event though. (Ie: the game starts at 7pm, it asks when do you want to take these off the market? at time of event, half hour before time of event, one hour before time of event, etc. etc.)

I’ve definitely purchased baseball playoff tickets after the game started.
