So I guess he owes me big time...
Yesterday, IL's were over and FIL say to MIL,
"So how about Friday night I take you out for a nice dinner?"
Me: "Well, of course you are taking her out on Friday, IT IS your 49th wedding anniversary" 
FIL:    "Oh !@#$% I totally forgot!!! I just keep thinking about next year being the 50th and planning our big family trip etc. I forgot about 49."
Me: "Well, good thing I reminded you or there might not be a 50th"
MIL's reaction: "Typical"
ETA: Now I'm wondering how many others he forgot along the way.

That's funny! My FIL is really good about remembering dates surprisingly. I hope DH carries on with that trait.
