Alpine Bakery?
Anyone use them?
The place we having DD's Communion lunch gets their cakes from there if I want to order through them rather than bring my own.
It's a small gathering so i only need a smallish cake.
I went on their website and I don't know- their gallery of specialty cakes to me looked like borderline Pinterest fails.
Not very professional. I wasn't impressed.
But I only need a round cake- nothing fancy.
How are their cakes taste wise?

Alpine Bakery?
They've been around for a long time - when I was little my parents would pick up a cake from them for every special occasion. I haven't had a cake from them recently though. I can say that I have a friend who ordered a cake from them for her dd's bday and she wasn't happy with how it came out. She had shown them a pic of what she wanted and said what she got looked nothing like the pic.

Alpine Bakery?
I actually really like this bakery. Yes, their cakes are not those pastry chef types but they do taste really good. If u're just looking for something small and not fancy but yet tasteful, then def go with them.

Yeah this is why I asked. I was not impressed with the pictures they have on their websites as examples of their work.
They look like an amateur did them in their own kitchen. Kind of sloppy.
Again, I don't need a specialty cake so I am more concerned with the taste, quality, etc

They did my wedding cake. It looked nice but it wasn’t that tasty.

My IL's SWEAR by Alpine, they get everythingggggg from there.
The cakes are good and they look nice but they are also super old school. Like I'm pretty sure that they have making the same cakes since 1974.

I have ordered cakes from them on several occasions.
1. The cake is always delicious.
2. I have had specialty cakes done and they always come out awesome. They did a beautiful job on my engagement party cake and my SD's sweet 16 cake. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them.

I just get all their amazing pastries. But for cakes I’m a big fan of marble cake w cannoli filling and red velvet w cream cheese filing.

We ordered lemon cake with vanilla pudding for DD 1st bday and people really enjoyed it. It wasn't overpowering. We were looking for something diff though.

Personally, I like chocolate with raspberry filling. Sometimes I do the fruit itself and other times I have had the raspberry mousse which is delish. I also like their mocha.

Raspberry mousse and chocolate is always a good idea. I also like cannoli filling in cakes.

I so agree with u! The first time I bought them, I doubt they were gonna taste good cause they look "cakey" and they had 4 layers instead of 3. But once I had my first bite....

They are amazing and delicious and have been there for AGES. They are a classic/old school bakery, so if thats what you are looking for, then its top notch. They did our wedding cake and it was SOOOO good. We use them for everything. Their cannoli cake filling is to die for!

Alpine Bakery?
Alpine Bakery is my favorite bakery ever! I agree about the the rainbow cookies...to die for!! If you can’t get that as a cake, then I say chocolate cake with raspberry filling. A delicious combination and similar to rainbow cookies in a way. Also as a side note, their linzer tartes are AMAZING.

Their cookies are amazing. I had a cake from there once and it wasn't bad but didn't wow me like the cookies did. I knew people locally like this bakery but I had no idea it had such a following.
