UTIs
What do you guys do to stop them before antibiotics?
I’ve had tons of water (with cranberry pills) and taken another herbal medicine. I feel it isn’t as bad, but it’s like on the ledge I guess you can say.
Last time I had the beginnings of a UTI here the doctor told me to wear socks in the shower.

UTIs
Straight cranberry juice, not the cocktail.
I must ask, what is the socks in the shower thing? A Dr. told you this? Why? What is it supposed to do? I am so intrigued!!!

Haha, funny you asked. They give really strange advice here. It keeps your feet warm and that can prevent infection or some crap like that. It’s like wearing a hat to keep your head warm.
I was sick last year with a bad throat/tongue infection and I was given a prescription for sage tea. I was also told to wear a scarf and drink warm beer, so there’s that, lol.
They don’t have straight cranberry juice here.

Re: UTIs
The cranberry pills and tons of water. I don't mess around with juice because the only juice that will help is the straight up one with no sugar added and it tastes SOOOOO bitter.
The pills have so much more cranberry concentrated in them than you can drink and it's so easy to take.
I take 2 at a time- a few times a day if I feel one coming on.
Sometimes it's too late though and you have to go get antibiotics

Thanks for that!
I’ve taken a few cranberry pills to help with tons of water. It’s not at the point of “burning” so I think I can get away and just drink tons and tons of water with these cranberry pills.
I haven’t had one of these in ages. It sucks!

Re: UTIs
I don't bother with cranberry, just drink a lot of water and also black tea, which works as a diuretic for me.
Have you tried Preiselbeeren ? They are the closest to cranberries in Germany.

Thank you for the Preiselbeeren translation. I don’t know why, but cranberries seems to be a difficult thing to translate here.
It’s getting better and I think I have solved the problem. I drank a ton of water, and I think I solved it
