Outdoor furniture is so expensive
Ugh we recently moved and have a huge deck. We are looking into getting an outdoor sectional or few couches and chairs as well as a firepit table and big umbrella. I cannot believe the prices! Is there ever a good time to buy these things? Sales? Any other stores we can look? So far we have checked out: Harrows, Fortunoff Backyard, Costco, Lowes/Home Depot, and Sundown on 110.

If you have a Costco, sams club or bjs membership they have reasonable sets online. We got a really nice one from Costco.com

We went to the Macy's furniture store in Carle Place. It still was more than we thought we would spend, but we used our Macy's card and they gave us two years with no interest fees. I felt it was a good deal since I didn't have to put down all the money at once.

Walmart has nice sets. We just got ours from JCP and it's so much nicer than expected!
I was just going to suggest JCP. They have a bunch of nice and relatively affordable ones.

Maybe get just the table chairs umbrella for now and wait til end of season sales for the rest?
When we got our set we got it from Macy's. We used Macy's credit card for two year interest free financing and several store credits and gift cards to help bring the price down They prob thought we were nuts but you're right that stuff is so expensive

I just got an email saying the sale is up to 30% off plus an additional 15% if you use coupon code PATIO15 (plus the additional 5% if you use a red card). I was going to try to get another year out of our old set, but this is a pretty awesome deal.

nice stuff is not cheap. It really depends on what you want and yuor budget. Costco and BJs have some nicer stuff than say Home depot, that isn't as pricey, but its not as nice as the Fortunoff stuff.
We just did our patio last year and wanted ot get patio furniture... we looked around and didn't like what they had in home depot, fuond a lot of nice sets in fortunoff, but by the time we were done picking things out, it was like $3K. We just couldn't stomach it. We ended up buying a set off of a facebook buy sell board that was from BJs originally, slate top.
We're happy with it for now, seats 8, matches our patio and was like $500. Maybe we'll get a nice set sometime, we just couldn't justify it after the spend on the patio. it wasn't that much nicer.
If I were you, I'd look for a few second hand pieces or a few cheaper pieces and a few more expensive pieces. I'd also consider what you're definitely going to use, vs what you in a dream world will use... Those outdoor couches look cool, but I've seen so many sets for sale on facebook, I wonder if people use them.
