Their prices seem to jump exponentially when you get to less than two weeks out as well - so I'm sure those who booked earlier booked at a lower rate (but still high - we paid $244 for a Sunday into Monday but, it included lift tickets or tubing as well as the waterpark).

Could be booking earlier would be cheaper and yes it did include the water park and I believe snow tubing.

The $244 wasn't for a holiday weekend though, right?

All of their holiday weeks are jacked up in price at least double. It's insane that people pay that! You can stay at a value resort in Disney next week for 5 nights for less than $1,000!

Not only that it will be PACKED!
I don't do well with crowds and lines. I couldn't do it even if it was free.

My BF and I are going to MX for 6 days at an all inclusive resort. We paid just over $1900 for both of us. WITH airfare!

I could never justify spending that on 2 nights some place.

Talk about price gouging. Ouch!!

It was tough being there Sunday (two days ago) since it was raining. The waterpark is pretty small compared to Kalahari and all of the outside stuff was a no go so it was mobbed.

No and it was for a Sunday night - the weekend prices are higher.

There is something the week after President's Week as well - there was a chance we had to reschedule and I looked and they are sold out.

Re: Camelback pricing

That is why I would never go during a holiday or weekend.
We try to go on a sunday-Monday. I would rather take a day off from work, then to pay that price.

Everything is insanely priced next week during school vacation. I looked into Rocking Horse ranch and it was over $600/nt.

We ended up renting a house instead near a ski mtn, it's a little cheaper. But no water park...

I'll be in Camelback/Aquatopia this weekend but I booked way in advance. But we're still paying more than a typical weekend there.
