800 flowers
I ordered 2 get well packages for a family member and she received email notifications with the tracking info. I did NOT include her email address when I placed the order. Any idea how this is possible? I am crazy that this bothers me? She doesn't know who they are from yet, but now knows she has 2 packages coming. Was hoping it would be a surprise.

This happened to me once (different vendor), it was because I had ordered from them in the past.

Either that or their phone number. Did they ask you for her number when you ordered?
Either way it stinks they kind of ruined the surprise.

Yeah they totally should have realized that if you are the sender and it's not going to your address, it's a gift. They should only email the SENDER a shipping confirmation. Seems pretty common sense. Annoying

If they are being shipped USPS, she probably has informed delivery. I get an email anytime someone sends me a package, along with the tracking every step of the way. It's tied to my physical street address.

This if it's being delivered via USPS. There's also UPS My Choice if it's coming via UPS. I always get email notifications when I have a package coming.

Fedex may have something similar. I get tracking updates and delivery info, including the sender's name from UPS
For USPS if you go on the website, you can sign up for informed delivery. They send you a pic of the mail that you will be getting everyday.

FedEx Delivery Manager does it, too.
There isn't really anything you can do about it. It's set on the recipient's side to get notifications of upcoming deliveries.
